Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe has really captured the essence of Summertime with this fabulous hand painted Lighthouse Fairy Light.
This 8” tall Lighthouse was handcrafted in Opal Satin glass (5” base) with a crystal (3” top) at Mosser Glass, using the Fenton Art Glass moulds that were not used for production before glassmaking halted at Fenton in 2011.
Michelle’s design features a largemouth Bass leaping from the lake’s blue waters as it seeks to capture the fishing lure. The hand painted shoreline, mountain landscape and cattails add much to the realism of this piece. The crystal top is adorned with several delightful details . . . from the hand lettered “BAIT SHOP” and “GONE FISHING” signs in the windows to the “BAIT SHOP & CLOSED” sign. You’ll also receive a battery-operated tea light with each Lighthouse which will fit perfectly in a recessed area on the top of the base. Add another one inside the lighthouse base to create a wonderful effect.
